Parasites, the Most Unwelcome of Guests: The sneaky little bastards of dis-ease have a STRONG connection to mental health disorders

My first time to Guatemala was as a nurse with a school of Osteopathic medicine. We were handing out Albendazole like candy. I have to be honest, I had to look up this particular “candy.” I had never heard of it before. Oh… it is an anti-parasitico. Of course! We were in a 3rd world country so 3rd world problems. We would NEVER need such meds in the U.S of A!
Not so fast….
If you have been paying attention these past couple of years you may have picked up on the media squelching any idea that anti-parasitics seem to be effective on so much more than parasites. Hydrochloroquin (HCQ), treatment typically used as an anti-malarial (which, btw, malaria IS a parasite! Most don’t realize this!) is interestingly also used in Lupus, an autoimmune condition. Ivermectin was highly demonized by the media and anyone who confessed in taking it was immediately scoffed at as taking horse medicine. I found this aggressive and outright angry response suspicious, so I dug a bit… and these days you don’t have to dig too far. What I found is… out right alarming.
One parasite kept coming up in my research and oh,,, this little devil (and only the devil could’ve been this devious in its creation) is an insidious little shit. Toxoplasma gondii.
Toxoplasmosis is known as the dis-ease that make soon to be dads of pregnant moms the official cat litter cleaner. The parasite choice habitat is the cat and is spread via its feces. A superficial internet inquiry will reveal the cat is to blame for most infections, and pregnant moms be-ware the pet bathroom cleaning duties. Well,,,, yes. A good idea to avoid cat litter and cat feces in general, but this is by no means the only mode of infection.
Did you know that the CDC lists Toxoplasmosis as one of the five neglected parasitic diseases in the US. Ironically it lists it as a major cause of death from food borne illnesses. Yeah, well,,, it’s so much more than that. And the wording of the CDC website is a bit disingenuous. It makes it sound like an acute food borne illness is the major concern. While it is a concern, its the latent toxoplasmosis that I have found to be incredibly damaging and more widespread, rearing its ugly head in the form of mental illnesses, amongst other things.
So how does this uninvited guest find its way into our home?
The cat is NOT the only avenue of infection. It may have been the initial route but that has long since past. Yes, the cat is the definitive host, meaning the parasite prefers the cat as its host as this is where it can sexually reproduce, but all warm-blooded vertebrates can be hosts (where it apparently has learned to asexually reproduce - once again, smart parasite)… including humans. So imagine at the beginning, a cat poops outside. Now the probability for that feces to eventually end up in the water supply is pretty high, or be eaten by another animal (just ask my dog. He looooved eating cat poop… ugh) So pretty much any farm animal has access to the tainted feces. Pigs and sheep were often listed as main culprits, but make no mistake, chickens, cows, any animal that consumes the oocysts (how the parasite travels) and then in turn is consumed in the meat product and boom… infection.
Vegans think you are safe? Think again. Fruits and vegetables that are poorly washed can be culprits as well. Even if just a little bitty molecule of dirt is clinging to that juicy strawberry that is organically grown…
Fish eaters? Sorry! They are finding it in the oceans as well. Fish and mollusks alike are carriers.
And here is the kicker, even if you take care to avoid all aspects of potential infection from your diet, maybe your partner hasn’t? Or a previous partner of your partner… we all know how this works. Yes. Toxoplasmosis can be transmitted sexually via the oral route.
Oral Sex: A new, and possibly the most dangerous, route of toxoplasmosis transmission
Ok, so now we have established that ALL of us are exposed to this nasty little invader. In fact, it is known that at least 30% of the worlds population has been infected. Other possible numbers are as high as 39.3% and the French up to 80%. The CDC estimates 1 in 10 in the US are carriers. My intuition is well over half the worlds population has had a direct run in with the protozoa.
Toxoplasmosis seroprevalence in Iranian women and risk factors of the disease: a systematic review and meta-analysis
What does this mean and how may it be affecting us or those we love?
Most of us who are exposed to this parasite may never even know. However, the latent effects we may be seeing more prevalently than we know. Some are more sensitive to an invasion than others. Genetics, health of the immune system, Vitamin D and C levels and a myriad of other factors play into whether one will have long term manifestations of the parasite. Latent Toxoplasma may be one of the most insidious offenders as it may be years after infection the full blown effects are seen. Anxiety and depression are major indicators of a potential infestation along with obsessive compulsive disorders, manic-depression, schizophrenia, and remember at the start of this writing? Auto immune diseases, which often times these poor souls also have these mental health diagnosis’ making life more interestingly miserable. Latent chronic T gondii may cause iron, iodine and folic acid deficiencies seen in those with auto immune disorders, plus a plethora of other disorders!
Possible Critical Role of Latent Chronic Toxoplasma Gondii Infection in Triggering, Development and Persistence of Autoimmune Diseases
Like all evil characters in any movie, Toxoplasma gondii is an intelligent villain that can control the mind. No! Seriously! The parasite cloaks itself in an oocyst and hides out in the brain. It tricks the immune system into not seeing it, so therefore the immune system does not attack. A portion of the population is more susceptible to the inflammation caused by this. It is a long-term, slow roll to increased symptoms.
But thats not the end of it. It has ways of controlling behavior. Just ask the mouse. The end game for the parasite is to end up in a cat where it can sexually reproduce, (I guess a parasite likes sex just as much as the next guy?) so it does what it can to get there… including controlling the host it is invading. It lowers the mouse’s ability to smell cat urine which would normally make any mouse scurry to safety. The parasite also lowers the mouse's response time to stimuli giving the cat the upper hand in that famous game of cat and mouse. Now typically a parasite doesn’t necessarily want to kill its host (mouse), unless killing the host (mouse) offers a more desirable home like a cat. Cat eats mouse, parasite in mouse is now setting up residence in cat, and apparently having lots of good sex! Wash, rinse, repeat.
Fatal attraction in rats infected with Toxoplasma gondii
So what does this look like when the parasite sets up residence in us humans? Latent infections seem to be the most insidious. The initial infection can look just like a cold or flu, or even food poisoning. Then it lies dormant in its little oocyst (typically in the brain) and does a slow roll inflammation and causes a myriad of symptoms. Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, self harm behavior and even suicidal ideation can be experienced by the host, along with decreased memory, difficulty learning and hyperactivity, so ADHD to add to the litany of issues to drive one crazy. It seems the longer it is there, the more these symptoms take hold. It is most common in women aged 31-50. As if these ages weren’t tough enough! And roughly the ages one may be starting a family, which a latent infection most likely would not be picked up and potentially passed on in vitro. Latent of course.

How common 'cat parasite' gets into human brain and influences human behavior -- ScienceDaily
Traffic Accidents! Seriously? Traffic accidents? Yep! Road rage and traffic accidents are another detrimental outcome. Accidents may be caused by a delayed response time to stimuli. Also a decreased level of empathy and consciousness is reported in test subjects who test positive. So your road rage aggressor really DOESN’T have any concern for you in his (or her) sociopathic behavior. The parasite makes him (or her!) just not care.

Ironically, it has been theorized that the parasite can also control your good looks. It seems that the beautiful people have a higher rate of infection. I guess the parasite has figured out what we humans are attracted by in a mate, and will mold us in that image, increasing our likelihood of attracting a mate and encouraging the sexual transmission from its males host. Smart parasite.
Are Toxoplasma-infected subjects more attractive, symmetrical, or healthier than non-infected ones? Evidence from subjective and objective measurements
Many doctors will treat the “chemical imbalance” of mental illness by prescribing meds that provide the chemical that is unbalanced, but never truly ask WHY is there an imbalance.
Could it be that the parasite feeds on the hormones or neurotransmitters we produce? Therefore causing the imbalance? Hmmm. Then the meds normalizes the imbalance and you feel normal for awhile as you get some of the chemicals the parasite has been hogging. Then what happens? The parasite is being fed, growing, and eventually starts to feed off the meds… requiring what? A higher dose. Could it be that maybe you aren’t developing a tolerance to the meds but are now eating for two, and the parasite is consuming more than its fair share?
Then you try to turn your life around and get off the meds. Bravo! So you start to wean. But if the root cause isn’t addressed, then you are really in trouble. Now you have a very angry and hungry uninvited guest eating everything you have and screaming for more. This would also explain why exercise may alleviate the symptoms for a bit (increase in endorphins, until your guest eats up those too. I’m sure the minute the system is flooded with the hormones, it creates a feeding frenzy. Also the hit of endorphins when shopping, henceforth the crazy shopping sprees. Gives a new meaning to "retail therapy." That therapy may be quieting your parasite, but only temporarily.
It goes on and on. The more you look the more you find and it is all concerning. And honestly, the allopathic route (working with your classically trained doctor) is not a great option in this particular parasite. Doctors are not well educated in parasitic infections nor their treatments. As far as I can tell, this isn't even screened for and I would even question how accurate the tests are for latency.
The meds to treat Toxoplasma gondii are quite toxic for acute infections and non-existent for the latent phase. In the latent phase, we are told the oocyst is dormant in the body and doesn't cause any problems, unless your immune system nosedives of course. Many healthcare professionals would probably poo-poo you if you asked if this may be what is causing some of you or your loved ones symptoms, and probably drag their feet to test for it. Plus, If the test is positive, great (well not so great because you have an uninvited guest). Now at least you know a definitive diagnosis. All in all, at the time of researching this I have not been able to find much literature to answer these questions, so this is speculation. But one thing is for sure and not speculation. Once you are exposed to it, the cysts are reportedly in your body (typically your brain) (!!!) till death do you part. Not only an uninvited guest, but one that won’t leave.
What do you do now that you know the world has been taken over by a feline parasite?
First, don’t panic.
Second, don’t despair.
Despite all the literature sounding doom and gloom that once infected, you and T.gondii will be hitched for life, I have reasoned out that this just may not be the case.
To start, if you have multiple medical diagnosis and are on multiple medications, I recommend finding a naturopathic practitioner who hopefully has run into this parasite (which all have whether they have realized this was the culprit or not). Navigating the sea of information and often misinformation is vast. It’s helpful to have someone on your side. That said, I do get weary of the multiple supplements and tinctures that are put in front of you as the miracle cure with a price tag of $29.99, though lately that seems to have been kicked up to the $59.99 + category. Personally, I prefer to incorporate the cure in my diet. Well,,, diet and one other thing but you have to read to the end for that.
Here are some things I found
Dr Axe (of all places) has some good recommendations of anti parasitic diets and natural remedies. But even here, its more about the cat for root cause, but hey, the treatment is on target. I’ve listed here some recommended in his article and some I have found during my own research.
Truly, the list goes on and on. It is a virtual rabbit hole to go down with one link leading to another and another. It’s not as hopeless as it first appears that you are stuck with this hitchhiker for life. One interesting parallel I have picked up on is how often the treatments for parasites are the same ones for cancer and so called viruses, also much of the same recommendations for those with poor gut health. Hmmm… could there be a link? That is a question for another future post!
Since we are talking diet and what TO eat, I feel it should be mentioned also what NOT to eat as this is just as important. You have deep sugar cravings? Thats not your craving but the freeloader demanding its dinner. Processed sugars never help you, especially in this case. Alcohol is a BIG provider of nutrients not to you obviously, but to your non-paying guest. There is also a link of increased parasites in alcoholics. The question there would be, what came first? The chicken or the egg? SEED OILS! See my post on this. Only adds to your inflammation. And of course, any processed food (but let’s be honest here, if its processed is it really food?) along with the stabilizers, preservatives, “natural flavors,’ and multiple additives that are basically endocrine disrupters. Your endocrine is disrupted enough… don’t add to it.
Cat Parasite Prevention + 8 Natural Toxoplasmosis Treatments
The University of Michigan was onto something in 2017. “They report that a molecule called cathepsin protease L, or CPL, is crucial to the parasite’s ability to survive the cyst phase and cause disease in mice. By interfering with CPL on a genetic level, and also using a drug, they disabled the parasite and kept it from surviving the cyst phase.” Keep in mind, most drugs are derived from natural sources. But, they can’t patent then monetize the natural source. Me personally? Go to the source. That source is often hidden quite well behind a lot of scientese (kinda of similar to legalese, but essentially hiding the truth in confusing jargon designed to confuse and obfuscate a simple concept or truth)
How to Stop the Lurking Toxoplasmosis Parasite? Target Its ‘Stomach’
So google foods high in this CPL and what would you find? A fun little study in the European Journal of Pharmacology posted by our very own NIH. It would seem that Lactoferrin is a key player. “Lactoferrin can inhibit cathepsin L.”
Food proteins are a potential resource for mining cathepsin L inhibitory drugs to combat SARS-CoV-2
(Whaaat? Combat SARS-CoV-2????)
What the hell is lactoferrin?
Dictionary definition per google:
lac·to·fer·rin | ˌlaktōˈferən |
a protein present in milk and other secretions, with bactericidal and iron-binding properties.
Could it be that simple? Wellll, yes and no. You may or may not be aware of the push for raw milk and the fact it is illegal to sell for human consumption. Where I live in Florida, the raw milk sells out within minutes of hitting the shelves. In Maryland, I buy raw milk from a local farm whose biggest clientele work for the FDA. In Pennsylvania, raw goat milk (which is even better!) Is available in pet stores. It is legal to sell raw milk in the US for pet use only. I’m gonna make a stretch of a guess that those buying from my source in Maryland are NOT buying it for their pets. The question "To Drink Raw Milk or Not to Drink Raw Milk” is a whole other posting. Instead I direct you to the Weston Price website for further information to make an informed decision.
My guess is the raw milk will be far superior for the purposes we are discussing here. There is also good evidence in the benefits of Kefir (fermented milk) which is rich in probiotics (but raw milk base).
You Probably have a Parasite - Here's What to Do About it
So after the doom and gloom I felt in doing my research that good grief, there is no escaping being infected with this little nasty, and once you invite it in its like a vampire, it won’t leave. Like all good movies, good prevails. War of the Worlds comes to mind. A parasitic invasion of alien proportions and how does mankind defeat it? By giving it a common cold. Could this movie called Invasion of the Toxoplasmosis end with an advertising slogan? Drink Milk. It does a body good! Or how about the other popular slogan - Got Milk?
And finally, my peace of mind in the battle against the parasites comes from having undergone Potentiation. Parasite cleansing of many (arguably, all) types is an extremely commonly reported benefit/result of Potentiation and other Regenetics activations, and one I feel I personally have experienced. I no longer worry about “reinfection” as my body is “sealed.”
If you made it this far reading this rather long post, why not keep reading and learning? Start looking at other avenues. Potentiation as I describe in my health and wellness section may be a noninvasive, metaphysical way to jumpstart your body to start healing itself. Many report the clearing of parasites and heavy metals. I’m not going to tell you it will work for you…. That is mostly up to you, because all healing is self healing. I am only a facilitator to help you get started in a healing journey. Continue reading the below links if you are curious. Feel free to reach out with any questions. The journey continues.
Allergy Elimination * Increased Energy * Parasite Cleansing * Pain Relief * Physical Strengthening * Improved Respiration * Better Digestion * Sharper Thinking * Deeper Sleep * Straighter Posture * Stronger Immunity * Clearer Skin * Thicker Hair * Fewer Migraines * Clearer Boundaries * Healthier Relationships * Heightened Manifestation * Greater Abundance
These are just a few of the life-changing benefits reported by people who have experienced Potentiation Electromagnetic Repatterning.

Sounds like something you might have to service on your car. I was curious when I saw a post about this on one of my favorite podcasters so I bit... or more like swished. Oil pulling is using a tablespoon of an oil like Coconut (my personal favorite), Sesame or Safflower, swishing it in your mouth first thing in the morning for 20 minutes then spitting it out. This apparently clears toxins from your body via the mouth.
This is a 1000 year old Ayurvedic practice that came to the US in the 1990's. Of course there are very few studies to back up these claims. No money to be made in a study on a pennies a day practice that could improve oral health along with anecdotal improvements on skin conditions, arthritis, asthma, headaches, hormone imbalances, infections, liver problems and more.
How does this work? It follows the idea that like treats like. Last year I was using an oil based paint when the can dropped and I caught it... all over my hands and arm. I was scrubbing scrubbing scrubbing trying to remove the paint when my friend handed me a bottle of baby oil and said "here, try this." Within moments the oil based paints lifted off and washed away. I was amazed. The baby oil was able to get under the oil paint effortlessly and left my skin super soft and smooth.
Now apply this same idea to toxins in your mouth. The practice is to use oil to swish first thing in the morning. When you wake up how does your mouth feel? Not so great right? Morning breath is your body naturally pulling toxins to your mouth to get rid of them. The oil being swished will get in up under the gum line and 'lift' the toxins out. I have been pulling now for about 3 months. My teeth are whiter and I am noticing less plaque when I clean my teeth. (Full disclosure, I have a dental kit I bought on Amazon for $10 and clean my teeth with dental tools in addition to brushing/flossing.) Spots on my teeth that I could not get out, after about 2 months disappeared.
How to pull:
Use up to a tablespoon of good quality organic coconut, sesame or safflower oil. I prefer coconut oil for taste and the fact it is naturally healing and not a seed oil. You may need to start out with a teaspoon and over time work up to a tablespoon. Its a lot of oil especially your first time. You ideally want to swish this around your mouth for 20 minutes. You may need to work up to tolerate this. On all sites I investigated, 20 minutes is the magic number as it is long enough to give the oil a chance to work under the toxins and bind. Don't go longer than 20 minutes as the body will start to reabsorb the toxins. So swish for 20 minutes then spit in the trash (it's oil... don't clog up your drain!). You will have quite a mouthful as the oil mixes with your saliva. I then rinse with a hydrogen peroxide (roughly 0.5% so very diluted) and distilled water mix. My mom failed to do this one day and was quite ill for several hours. Made a believer out of her!
"20 minutes!?!" Yes, it sounds like a long time to be standing there swishing. I have gotten in the habit of starting my day right off the bat with pulling. I keep a jar of coconut oil in the bathroom taking a tablespoon first thing then swish making the bed, swish making my coffee, swish checking my email or texts, swish unloading the dishwasher, etc. Twenty minutes goes by quick! Spit , Rinse, Coffee. It was actually one of the easier routines I was able to incorporate. And honestly, my coffee tastes amazing after a good pull!
I was on my way to the Richmond Folk Festival when I checked in with my mom to see how my parents were holding up. My dad was diagnosed with "C0v!d " a week before and he had decided to go ahead with the antibody infusion, which he was at the end of the window of time to be able to receive. Up to then he was tired (ok exhausted) and had a cough but was holding steady pretty well.
Calling my mom that morning, I got a hysterical woman I hardly recognized. My mom is the most calm, cool and pragmatic person I know. She was seriously stressing about getting my dad to the appointment. Realizing she was at her rope's end, I unpacked my truck, threw the dog in the back and headed North to Pa rather than south to Va.
When I arrived, my parents were still at the appointment for the infusion. My mom had calmed down at this point and was back to being the rock of Gibraltar. When my dad returned home, he looked tired, very weak and frail. Not his typical booming voice and 6 foot strong frame I was was used too. My mom looked exhausted and had a telltale dry cough. Having had "C0v!d" myself in January and getting my boyfriend through it a month later, and the fact that I am now fully Potentiated, I was not worried about getting sick.
My dad's first complaint was that he was freezing. He felt like a block of ice. When I took his temperature, it was registering 95.8. Whaat? That can't be... then.... he started shivering so hard (rigors). His feet were blocks of ice and his skin was pale and not cool to touch but COLD. He told me how cold it was in the infusion center and that he was freezing during the infusion. They didn't have blankets so they gave him a sheet. I have taken care of patients with hypothermia and this looked like that. We used wet hand towels heated in the microwave around his feet and neck being careful not to burn him. I called the infusion center, who were most unhelpful, and the new infusionist told me she had thawed the fluids out when I asked her if they warm the fluids prior to administering. Chances are, my father was infused with a solution that was a few degrees above frozen.
A weakened 76 year old with preconditions and exhausted from fighting off an infection for over a week would have a difficult time dealing with fluids this cold, most likely contributing to his body temp of 95.8. After about 40 minutes of heating towels and trying to warm him up, he stopped shivering and calmed down, we started to peel the blankets off. Just as I thought would happen, he started to have a paradoxical reaction,,, his body started to kick in trying to warm him up and in short order he had a temperature of 102.5. Eh gads.... my dad has a history of emphysema so the respiratory and infection factor was of high concern... For the next 36 hours we battled back and forth a fever and moderate respiratory distress. I use the word severe carefully, but we were close to that.
After dealing with my boyfriends battle in February, I encouraged my parents to contact Frontline Doctors and start the prophylactic protocol. This may have been a major factor in their recovery. They have been taking the supplements Vit. C, Vit. D, Zinc, Magnesium and HCQ. We continued with this but increased the HCQ to daily instead of weekly. For my dad, during his nearly severe respiratory distress, I set up a humidifier next to the bed infusing distilled water with food grade peroxide, trying to hyper oxygenate the room and therefore him. Peppermint oil was also heavily used. When he complained of a shortness of breath flare, I rolled him on his side and did chest percussions (click here for tutorial), and finished up with massage of long strokes stretching him out and getting the blood flow towards his heart.
As my dad's status started to improve, my mom's started to deteriorate. Her dry cough was turning into something more and the adrenaline of dealing with my dad was wearing off and she was crashing. About this time my nebulizer arrived so the humidifier went over to where my mom was sleeping with peroxide infusing throughout the night and mild peroxide nebulizer treatments. About this time it hit me to start them on NAC which I saw a huge change in their condition for the better. Mind you, they themselves were still miserable with exhaustion. But I could deal with that.
A week later, both are on the mend, up moving around and slowly getting back to normal albeit with many naps throughout the day. My dad struggles the most, but with a history of emphysema and ulcerative colitis (largely gone since I put him on food grade hydrogen peroxide - see earlier post), he is doing great! My mom, who is rarely sick and has the fortitude of a stubborn ox, was terrified of progressing to a worsening stage. The hardest thing taking care of her was keeping her terror at bay. No need to manifest that!
The regimen that worked for us... the Zelenko Protocol
Ivermectin (yes, I gave them the horse paste and with great results. That's when dad seemed to really turn the corner)(for a natural substitute Wormwood, which I had to switch my dad to as he objected to the horse medicine )
NAC (WOW! Game changer! and thanks to the government more difficult to buy)
Other things I could've added on but didn't have on hand or didn't think of it till later would include Quercetin (I left mine at home)
I also had a dose of Zithromax on hand just in case, but never needed this.
Everything except for the HCQ and Zithromax is (or was when I bought it, now, maybe not so easy) over the counter. There are home made versions of HCQ. I take Secrets of the Tribe quinine daily myself. You can also use orange and grapefruit skins.
I also followed Dr. Mercola and carefully gave my mom hydrogen peroxide nebulizer treatments (heavily diluted food grade peroxide. She could only tolerate less than a 0.5% solution. Also the home remedies worked as well. Hot water with lemon, honey and peppermint always my favorite and a new one I came across on IG.... a home made cough medicine made by cutting up an onion and covering it with sugar. This makes a syrup that within minutes cut my mom's cough. Crazy! A wonderful "Super Tonic" I got at a local farm store with horseradish, garlic, onions, red peppers, fresh ginger root and apple cider vinegar. Worked wonders as a decongestant!
Fortunately, as they got over the hump, the weather broke from dreary rain to sunny warm days. I wrapped them up in blankets and set them on the deck in the sun under a tree with a beautiful view of the valley, a tall glass of lemon and salt water and a box of tissues. Fresh air and sun! Just like the doctor would have ordered in the old days!
One last thing I did do which was a wee bit unorthodox was a blood thinner. We didn't have aspirin on hand so I had them do 3 drops of their urine under the tongue. Urokinase, a very potent clot buster drug we use in the ER for heart attacks and strokes is derived from... urine. Amazingly, our bodies produce the very medicine we need and if they had clots, I knew their bodies would produce the life saving treatment they needed. Better safe (and maybe a wee bit grossed out) then with clots and a pulmonary embolism. I put this at the very end as only the fully initiated would read this far. If you are interested in this lifesaving treatment, I encourage you to follow these links:

The Water of Life
Your Own Perfect Medicine
As disgusting as this sounds, it is actually quite beautiful when you think of it.
As my mom started to feel better and the fear the media so entrenched in her psyche that with every cough she would devolve and become the next victim faded, her anger at the system rose. Earlier, my parents were told by the doctor to go home, they weren't sick enough. If it got worse then they were to go to the hospital. They weren't told to take the vitamins or the zinc and their doctor frowned upon the fact they were on HCQ. If it wasn't for me forcing the education onto them and then dragging them through the treatments, my sister (also a nurse) is quite sure we'd be saying our goodbyes through a window with them alone to die. I can barely contain my anger when I think of the "protocol" that so many were tortured with.
My heartfelt condolences to all who have lost a loved one to this very treatable and mostly nonlethal condition. Please, turn off your tv and start to research on your own. This, much like other diseases, do not have to be the life threatening, terrifying end of life we have been lead to believe.
p.s. two weeks post and me healthy as a horse... natural antibodies rock! Talking with my dad, he thinks he started to get sick when he was hugged by someone who recently had had the v@ccine. Shedding is real. But timing was perfect - I was available to help, the weather was perfect for convalescing in the sun, and natural antibodies for my parents will hopefully carry them through winter.
LET me start off by saying, I am NOT a nutritionist. Nor am I a guru of dieting. I can't stick to a diet to save my life (well, maybe if my life depended on it) (and by the way, your life kinda DOES depend upon it!). And keep in mind I am speaking from MY experience and not yours. But one thing is for sure for every body.... Seed Oils are the bane of our existence... and they are in EVERYTHING!!! I used to think high fructose corn syrup was sneakily hidden in everything but seed oils take the cake... and its hidden in that too.
Seed oils are literally the hidden in plain sight death trap. They are in almost ALL junk food but even in foods we consider to be "healthy." They are the majority cause of heart disease, inflammatory diseases, gut issues not to mention weight gain, anxiety, brain fog, migraines and a myriad of other illnesses. I personally think they are the root cause of most health issues even down to being more prone to sunburn (my speculation here, not backed up by research... but who would research this? that is another post!).
What are seed oils? Some you already know, but others surprised me... Vegetable oil, obvious. As are Canola and Corn oil. But about a year ago I bought Grapeseed oil... sounded healthy to me! Cold pressed and organic! Also, the other two big surprises were Sunflower oil and Safflower oil. These HAVE to be healthy, no? NO! Cottonseed, Palm, Peanut, Rice Bran and Soy oils also on the death trap list. They all "sound" good especially when they are marketed as "Cold Pressed" "Organic" and "Non-GMO." Plus, we've been told these are a healthier alternative to animal fats, like butter.
Don't buy it... figuratively or literally!
To get into the minutia of why seed oils are bad for you, just use the google machine. Here is one link to get started: How Industrial Seed Oils are Making Us Sick
Weston A Price website is a major source of information on health and nutrition. If you are serious about learning, this is a must bookmark.
I also started following on Telegram "Eat With Purpose" who REALLY opened my eyes to the evils of PUFA oils. Top photo lifted from that site. Highly recommend a follow there if you are interested in your nutrition and diet!
I lost 20 pounds that somehow appeared in my 30's and never seemed to disappear entirely. It didn't matter how much sugar I cut out, how many veggies I ate, but by simply cutting these oils out of my diet I started dropping pounds. I replaced these poisons with a GOOD QUALITY Olive or Avocado oil, BUTTER!!!!, and my favorite, I use bacon fat for everything! Not only have I lost weight without even trying (imagine if I tried!) I have more energy and less hunger. Other options are Ghee, Duck Fat and Tallow are also a tasty option (for us meat eaters. Vegetarians stick with the first two. But that's for another future post!)
It is not easy though. Cutting out the "junk" is sorta easy... processed foods, etc. But when you start reading labels these bad oils are everywhere including the HEALTH FOOD section!?!? I engage other shoppers in conversation and mention how detrimental the safflower and sunflower oils are and they think I'm nuts. "Those are healthy oils!" My hat is off to the evil marketing empires that have convinced us and many in the medical field as well, that these oils are a healthier alternative. Reminds me of the vintage ads for cigarettes, "Smoking is good for you and your baby too!"
Some places I found these oils in my favorite of favorite things that broke my heart and opened my eyes... I love love loveD (past tense) Perfect bars. My sister turned me onto these as a quick hit to keep you going. I bought them 10 at a time! ...Sunflower oil. Pretty much every cracker on the planet is made with canola or vegetable oil. The "healthy" versions tout sunflower or safflower oil. Look for ones that have olive oil or butter instead. Even then you are dealing with flour (which is of course, another post). In my family Mayo is a big big big one! I grew up in Amish country so mayo in potato salad, macaroni salad, every sandwich. There are mayos that have olive or avocado oil. Don't look at just the label though. Read the ingredients (on EVERYTHING). Avocado oil may be first in line, but then they follow it up with canola and palm. Sneaky. Cookies are another place. If you look at the ingredients very very few have butter as the oil. But yet when I was a kid making cookies, I remember using butter... good, ole' fashioned butter! One of my favorite farm stands in Pennsylvania has the best cookies made with butter and Sucanat. Sugar and flour yes, but its a treat. The other more difficult places to control is eating out. Ask for butter to be substituted in the cooking. I just say I have a sensitivity, which is true.... for ALL of us! Most restaurants will accommodate. I cringe now when I watch food shows that start with vegetable oil to cook....
It takes some getting used too, and you may drive your family crazy...initially. But as they too open their eyes to the slow poisoning we are encouraged to consume in our diets, they will thank you. Especially as they slim down, feel more energetic and alert, and they possibly are able to slowly wean off of a myriad of meds including blood pressure, evil statins, diabetic meds and anti-inflammatories (OBVIOUSLY recommended doing under a doctor supervision. But I recommend finding a doctor who is on the same page about nutrition as you.)
You won't miss the meds or the oils. Well,,,, except mom and her mayo... that is a hard one for her.
Water is... everything. Our bodies are up to 60% water. Over 70% of the world is covered in it. Water is in the air we breathe and is a basis for the very fabric of our lives. But is water a living and breathing and feeling thing? It wasn't until I played the Glass Bead Game (see opening blog posts) that I really started to think about water as more than just a source of hydration.
I started to learn more about vibration and frequencies. The effect of frequencies and vibrations on water is more readily apparent than I ever would have thought. I came across a meme about the time I started to distill my own water that further advanced my appreciation and love for this beautiful resource. Dr. Masaru Emoto is a Japanese scientist who revolutionized the idea that our thoughts and intentions impact the physical realm, and he shows this by the impact on water.
After seeing this I was on a flight with a myriad of movies offered. Disney's Frozen II popped up. Knowing that Disney has often given us hidden meaning in their cartoons, I thought maybe there was something in there to help me understand even more fully. And wow, even Disney is putting it out there that water has memory. I looked more into Emoto's work and there are several videos (you can use the Google to find them) and the differences in the "bad" water and the "good" water was striking. But is it real?
I sent this meme to a close friend who I always looked to as a mentor. Having a background in geology, I figured she would have a thing or two to say about this. To my shock, but not really, she was well aware of Emoto's work. Curious herself a few years ago she performed her own experiment. Taking rice from the same bag she filled two cups. She then added clean well water from a pitcher. So same bag of rice, same pitcher of water. As she filled the one cup of rice she taped a sign with words of anger and hate forcing herself to feel those words as she wrote them, taped them to the glass and filled the glass. She repeated this process with words of love and affirmation. For 11 days she took those two glasses with her everywhere. She would go to the grocery store and put the love in the trunk and sat the hate up front. Driving she played acid rock music and swore at the rice and water showering it with hateful and angry words and energy. On the way home she would switch the glasses for the Love and play opera and classical music and shower the rice and water with love and adoration. She admits she felt ridiculous doing it but,,, And so for 11 days she provided the same environment regarding temperature, light, location but treated the two differently with her words and intentions. This was her result at the end:
It was all she needed to believe. She put them both in a closet and left them alone. A month later, the hate glass was mostly black. Love... clean.
Water hears you. Water feels you. Treat it with respect. Treat it with love. Another dear friend of mine started to distill her water. She told me how much more connected she feels to it and she even started to talk to it thanking it for its life giving energy. Plants that receive water and are talked to have been shown to grow healthier, stronger and bear more fruit and flowers. So think of it... when you are having a bad day, and you make a stupid mistake and you tell yourself you are a fool, not only does your psyche hears it, the water in you hears it as well. Your water and, well YOU become the distorted molecules shown in Emoto's meme. When you say things like "you are stupid! I hate my life" your water hears you and reacts. It is all connected.
So try to treat yourself, others, and your water with love and honor . Your water will hear you and more than 60% of you will appreciate the life affirming love.
**note! I was in my favorite natural store in Naples and found these beautiful blue bottles. I keep all my distilled water stored in glass bottles. When I transfer it from the distiller pitcher to the bottle I tell it how grateful I am. When I pour myself a glass I tell it how beautiful it is. And when I drink, I drink with gratitude for every beautiful drop. This glass bottle gives me Abundance.
I'm not even 100% sure how I fell into this little gem of a treatment. Like most, I'm quite familiar with the brown bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) and have used it in my nursing career especially when I worked at ShockTrauma. We used it to clean twice daily sutured wounds. Plastic surgery especially liked this for cleaning delicate facial lacerations and scrapes. We would use a diluted mix of 1 part H2O2 and 1 part sterile saline.
So when I read Madison Cavanaugh's One Minute Cure I was intrigued. Chatting about this with a friend who was using holistic healing herself, I learned she was driving 2 hours to a natural dentist where she had IV infusions of H2O2 prior to dental treatments. Upon hearing this, my anxiety about drinking peroxide eased somewhat. I ordered up a bottle of FOOD GRADE (very important!!!!) 35% Hydrogen Peroxide. The warnings that came with it were immense and terrifying. I was half afraid to bring the bottle into the house. Seriously. The anxiety was ridiculous. I had a bottle of bleach sitting out like it was nothing and here I was clenching about peroxide.
I reread Madison's book, researched further her resources and seeing as I don't want to recommend something I myself have not tried, I swallowed my fear (kind of literally here!). I brought in the bottle sitting outside on the back porch and took my first dose. Now let me stop here and just reiterate, this is NOT the hydrogen peroxide you buy over the counter at the drugstore. The over the counter stuff WOULD be poison as it has things in it other than H2O2 called stabilizers. These are very toxic and probably would do immense damage if ingested. So very important to buy FOOD GRADE. From a year ago (August of 2020) there are so many more websites that are talking about this and offering the appropriate formula. I will leave it to you to use the Google machine and find your own source. My source was industrial grade and scared the crap out of me with the ominous warnings of explosions, poisoning and imminent death. Now, there are many natural remedy sites that offer a friendlier packaging that is remarkably less terrifying.
Swallowing my first dose I was like, wow... what was I soooo afraid of??? Once again, more so out of curiosity, I did the whole protocol that lasted 2 months. I worked up to 25 drops in distilled water (always distilled from my fabulous home distiller!) and back down again. Admittedly, 25 drops was tough. It was very "bleachy." I used some drops in my bedside humidifier during the winter and even started to use the H2O2 for cleaning instead of harmful bleach. I have on occasion gotten the full 35% on my fingers and yes,,,, not recommended. My skin turned white and TINGLED. My nail beds burned as if I rubbed a freshly cut super hot chili pepper into the skin.... ouch!!! but I rinsed with water and after a bit it went away. I survived my treatment with no ill effects. Did I feel different? hard to say. I wasn't sick to start with. But I did have more energy than ever!
I cautiously mentioned this to my dad. My dad is 75 years old and has suffered for 10 years now from ulcerative colitis. Exhausted and frustrated each morning afraid to leave the house as there were often 5-8 trips to the bathroom before 10 am, and on a good day may have been 3-4 trips. But each day had left him more raw on his backside and feeling less and less himself. Ten years of this will take its toll. So when I mentioned peroxide might help him he was willing to try it. I warned him it wouldn't happen overnight and to not get his hopes up afraid he would quit before allowing it to work. He took his first dose of 3 drops in a glass of distilled water. I did a sign of the cross despite not being Catholic and prayed that it would work. To my utter amazement, and his, within 10 minutes he went to his morning constitution and passed the first solid stool he had for 10 years. And he did it only once that entire day. And the next and the next. Prayers answered!
He has been completely loyal in his dedication to taking "his drops" 3X's daily. He was able to scale up to 10 drops a day and couldn't go further. I told him to do what he could tolerate. Not to push himself. Since that fateful day in February 2021, he has had one SOLID movement a day, on a rare occasion two. To give a testimonial about the importance of using distilled water, one day he accidentally used tap water. The result was immediate with cramping and loose stools. My dad who was a skeptic at first was now convinced beyond any shadow of a doubt. When his doctor showed him photos of how he was destroying his esophagus and he would destroy his intestines, he looked at her and said, "I've been with you for 10 years taking pills that cost $100+ a month. My daughter cured me in one dose for less than $0.10. I'll stick with this." It amazes me how quick allopathic medicine is so quick to denounce what they don't understand and not even be curious to investigate real live examples rather than the fear mongering found in bought and paid for medical journals. He still needs the meds (for now) but is slowly trying to ween himself off. Oh, and on his next visit to the same doctor she told him he no longer needed to take the meds for his pre-diabetic condition. His lab tests were all normal. After years of being on this medication, one would think she would be curious as to how that happened. One would be wrong. Yes, peroxide is reported to "cure" diabetes as well.
There are hundreds of testimonials online about this. Way more than when I started to investigate this a year ago. A year ago there was more fear mongering that you were drinking "bleach" and would kill yourself. As I always say, do your own research. If you are unsure or uneasy, find a homeopathic practitioner you trust. Wellness does not have to be expensive or scary.

Water was my first journey in the Glass Bead Game. A simple question was posed. What is in your drinking water? I’ve scoffed at friends who refused to drink tap water as the US has the safest tap water in the world. Or do we?
Having lived and worked in Guatemala potable water was always a concern. Washing vegetables, especially a salad was at one time in the early days a game of Guatemalan Roulette (as opposed to Russian Roulette). I’m not sure who the equivalent of the Aztec Ruler Montezuma would have been in the Mayan world, but I have met him on more than one occasion. My running (ha! pun not intended!) joke was if you wanna lose some weight, go on the Guatemalan water diet. On one trip I was down to Junior High School weight in about 4 days. Those were the early days. Since some amazing filtration systems have been developed and implemented. The best I personally think is the ceramic containers that use colloidal silver. (The beneficial uses of colloidal silver would be a separate post!).
Each time I returned home from Guate, I would turn on my tap grateful for that clean refreshing water! Right? Weeelllllll,,,, not so fast. The more I started looking into what was in that fresh, clear, “clean” water, I realized the dirty truth. That water running freely from my US tap isn’t so clean. I started to appreciate my friends who had elaborate water filtration systems in their homes. I bought water pitchers that filtered out everything even the fluoride, which is another evil that we willingly ask to be poisoned with and another potential future post. I had the best understanding of the different types of water (tap, rain, filtered, river, etc) after reading the book The Choice is Clear by Dr. Allen E. Banik. Having mentioned on a twitter post about drinking filtered water someone replied with a link to Andrew Norton Weber. After watching his life changing 2+ hour interview, I made my move to distilled water. There are other ideas on that video that would be for another post. To start, stick with distilled.
I put myself and my 14 and a half year old beagle on distilled and what a difference! Within 3 days, he was running like a 6 year old! I was feeling better, but could’ve been because I was drinking more water… who knows.
The best sources I found for Distilled water was in the clear plastic bottles. The milky ones to me tasted funny. Back then (September 2020) you could get distilled water in the clear containers at Aldi’s or Target for as little as $0.53/gallon. I was last told it was as high as $1.24. Word must be getting out! However, I no longer buy it by the gallon, but distill my own. There is something very satisfying about making your own water. I feel more connected and more grateful for each precious drop. And when I saw the bottom of the distiller after cleaning 1 gallon of water, I was horrified at the filth and smell of what was left behind. To think I was drinking that!
Once again, do your own research. If someone warns you about distilled water leaching minerals, tell them to research the difference between organic and inorganic minerals. That should keep them busy.
The distiller I bought (sorry,,, found on Amazon) but I saw this one just come available on one of my other peeps I follow: Orgone Energy
The bottom of my distiller after one gallon... baby poop. Except baby poop smells better. This is Maryland. My distiller in Florida after 1 gallon is black swamp sludge.
Welcome to my blog. One might expect a blog on a mostly beaded jewelry website would be about,,, well,,, beaded jewelry. Not so fast. Though it was beaded jewelry that got me to click on a link that took me down this path. A link called THE GLASS BEAD GAME caught my attention. That particular link is now gone but there are many others if you research for yourself. Basically the ‘game’ took me down a rabbit hole of every thought provoking subject known to man. As the internet often does, one link leads to another which leads to another. This blog will be about a myriad of subjects that have caught my interest. Some may resonate with you, others may make you scratch your head (I’ve done a lot of head scratching in the past year), and others may make you confused or even angry. That’s all ok. That only means you would be playing the Glass Bead Game with me. The idea is to expand your thinking.
Much of what I will most likely discuss here will be health related as I go back to my Nursing roots in healthcare and look at a system that cares very little about your health.
Remember, this is all coming from my point of view from my own research. Before you take any of my suggestions, or trash any of my ideas, I strongly encourage you to do your own research. Where appropriate, I will include links. I suspect some of my blogs will mainly be links to others blogs as I find interesting tidbits. At the end of the day, I hope you find what I have to say to be at the very least interesting, and the most I would hope for is something here is helpful to your own journey.
Follow me in my journey of discovery and awakening in health both physical and spiritual. My experience will not be your experience. What works for me may not work for you... but it might.
